View SMART Goals
SMARTer GOALS
S - Specific
Goals must address a specific task or set of tasks.
M - Measurable
The church must be able to measure the outcomes to determine if the goal has been achieved.
A - Attainable
Goals must not be impossible to achieve. This means that they must have committed people, adequate resources and sufficient time to achieve.
R - Relevant to raising quality
Goals must be focused on raising the quality (health) of the church issues by improving the minimum factor.
T - Timeframe
Goals must have a specific timeframe for completion.
Additional Dimensions to SMART:
e - Everyone Committed
Members of the implementation and pastoral teams must be united in their commitment to see the goals achieved.
r - Responsible Accountability
All tasks set to achieve goals must have someone accountable for achieving those tasks. (A champion)
